Kulgam, Jun 01 (KNO): A 14-year-old boy from south Kashmir's Kulgam district has written a poetry book in just ten days. Bhat Faisal, son of Bilal Ahmad Bhat, a 9th-standard student from Okey village of Kulgam, has touched on many topics in "The Lightness of Being". Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Faisal said he was always interested in writing. “The writings of William Shakespeare and Mirza Ghalib inspired me to write this book which I started this year,” he said. He said every child has the potential to do wonders in any field and it is not necessary that everyone will be an “all-rounder”. Talent is naturally inhibited, he added. “The Lightness of Being" contains 100 poems. The issues I have touched on include love, loss, separation and divine power,” he said. He claimed that it took him almost ten days to compile this book saying he has “worked day and night”. “My aim in life is to become a good poet as writing is my passion that I will continue under all circumstances,” Faisal said, adding that my family has been very supportive and a few teachers have also supported me in compiling the book. “My message to the youth of J&K is to follow their dreams with hard work and consistency and don't be too much dependent on others,” he said. “If you will be consistent and hardworking, you can achieve any goal of your life.”—(KNO)
